It’s going to rain tomorrow, but don’t be surprised if you see loads of folk hanging out in swimwear in Hyde Park. Campaigners are organising a protest against the controversial Protein World adverts for 3pm on Saturday May 2.
The plan is to recreate a beach scene using protesters in their favourite bikinis/swimming costumes/trunks – plus beachballs and buckets and spades. Everyone is encouraged to strip off – it doesn’t matter whether you’re male or female or if you have abs of steel, mega curves or a wine gut you’ve been working on for years (come onnnn, I know it’s not just me). We are all #beachbodyready.
Organisers write: ‘The idea that your body should be covered up and hidden away if it doesn’t meet these bizarrely specific requirements… I’m over it, you guys. And judging by the response we’ve gotten on Twitter, it looks like you are too.’
