Bank balance looking a bit bleak? Here are five ace things happening in London over the next two weeks and they won’t cost you a penny.
A mini version of Geneva’s massive 140-metre Jet d’Eau is coming to London. The catch? Visitors will need to hop on a power bike to stop the 15-metre water jet from running out of juice. If you can go the distance, there are prizes to be won for those with the longest cycle time, including weekends away to Geneva. May 13–14. Exchange Square, Spitalfields, EC2A 2BQ.
Free champagne? Don’t mind if we do. French drinks syrup company Teisseire is launching in the UK and offering guests 30 minute slots to knock back three syrup-flavoured drinks, including a ‘Famboise Cooler’, ‘Fraise de Champagne’ and a ‘Hazelnut and White Mocha’. May 13-15. St Pancras Champagne Bar, St Pancras International Station, NW1 2QP.
Combining three of everyone’s favourite things – booze, ice-cream and free stuff – World Duty Free will be serving up free whisky-infused ice-cream from 1pm-4pm, or until someone nabs the last scoop. The five-grown up flavours include Johnnie Walker Spice Road whisky-infused dark chocolate and sea salt ice-cream, fig ice-cream with Glenmorangie Duthac and cherry and chilli ice-cream infused with The Black Grouse.
