There’s a floating house on the Thames

If you’ve been wandering anywhere near the Thames this morning you may have spotted a floating house making its way down the river. No, it’s not a terrible side-effect the latest downpour, it’s part of a stunt by Airbnb and you can go and stay in it – for free!

The house is kitted out with two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, a garden with real grass and an apple tree – and a doghouse, because why not? It’ll be floating through Chelsea, Westminster and Canary Wharf all this week, before Airbnb open up its doors for one lucky winner and three pals to go and stay overnight on May 22. As well as a free stay in the floating house, you’ll be treated to spa treatments and chow down on food made by Robert Ortiz, head chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Lima and Lima Floral. Unless you’ve got an aversion to water then we reckon it sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

Find out more and enter the competition here before midnight on May 20.
