If a night out usually ends up with you regretfully shelling out for a cab or trekking across London on three different night buses, then your journey home might be about to get a whole lot easier. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the night tube since TfL officially announced the news back in 2013 – and now it looks like there might be a new and improved night bus service to make it easier to get to the night tube.
The tube finally goes nocturnal on September 12 and to help you get between the five Underground lines that will be running, TfL is proposing 20 new night bus services and one extended service, as well as continuing all existing night buses. Most of the new services would only be in action on Friday and Saturday nights, although three of them would run every night of the week.
TfL is running a public consultation about the potential new night buses, which is open from today until July 1. Find out more and have your say here.
