London’s battle of the baby buns is back for another tasty round, as 16 chefs go head-to-head in the annual Slider Decider competition at The Gun in Docklands on June 4. The shortlist of contenders includes a ramen slider from Bone Daddies, a surf ‘n’ turf burger from Iberica as well as some juicy competition from Dirty Bones, Ember Yard and Joe’s Southern Kitchen.

Returning to try and hold on to his title is last year’s champ, Nanban’s Tim Anderson, who wowed the crowd with his ‘Wasted Away Again in Umcheesoville’, which involved a chuck and chicken liver patty basted in nori-shiitake butter and a three-cheese potato korokke with a Quaver crust. Mmmm, Quavers. Tickets for the burger showdown are £20, which includes a beer and two of The Gun’s own sliders to get you in the patty mood.
