What could be better than lying on a kingsize bean bag watching a classic flick? How about snacking on a picnic while you slob out? Sounds pretty sweet. Now throw in a scenic rooftop location and a sunny evening (fingers crossed) and, boom, you’re winning at life. No, this isn’t the result of a zeitgeist pop-up event generator, this is really happening in (where else?) Shoreditch in a few weeks’ time. And you’re the first people to know about it.

The guys behind Hot Tub Cinema have been hosting indoor Pillow Cinema screenings since last November but this is the first time they’re taking it alfresco. Similar to the previous incarnation, it’s BYOP (bring your own pillow) for maximum comfort and this time it’s also BYOB&F (that’s booze and food). They’ll be screening films including ‘Birdman’, ‘Whiplash’, ‘Frances Ha’ and ‘Ex Machina’.

Why are we getting het up about it now when it doesn’t launch until June 20 (running until July 5)? Because tickets go on sale today and they’ll sell out pronto.

Find out all the films playing at Pillow Cinema and check out our special Time Out Thursday screenings. Tickets cost £12.50 each to share a bean bag for two (or £25 as a super luxurious seat for one!). Get your tickets now at pillowcinema.com.
