Exclusive look at the new Picturehouse Central cinema in London’s West End

Picturehouse Cinema Central

Hard hats at the ready! Earlier this week we took a tour of the almost-finished Picturehouse Central cinema in the West End. If you like the Ritzy in Brixton or the Hackney Picturehouse, you might soon want to spend a bit more time within spitting distance of Piccadilly Circus than is usually healthy. True, you’ll need to fork out £18 for a ticket (if you’re not a member) on a Saturday night, but that’s pretty much the going rate in these parts, and it’s cheaper at other times. And anyway, the new seats look so comfortable that we’re half-tempted to rip off the material and make dressing gowns out of them. We don’t recommend you do this, of course. We do recommend you take our tour of the almost-finished Picturehouse Central here.

Picturehouse Central opens fully on Friday June 19, with preview access to the public in the few days before.
