Update: The Crystal Maze is now open!

When we first heard that the people behind London’s ‘Crystal Maze’ reboot were hoping to crowdfund £500,000 to pay for the project, it seemed like a very high target. But, it turns out WE ALL LOVE ‘THE CRYSTAL MAZE’.

The ‘live immersive experience’ has raised nearly half of its target figure in just one day. In fact, more than £240,000 has been pledged on Indiegogo with 34 days left to go.

The money pledged will go towards paying for construction of the maze, salaries and venue hire. The organisers say that the more money they can raise, the better the whole thing will be. Pledgers will be rewarded with crystals, opening party tickets and early bird tickets for the experience.

The Crystal Maze experience will last an hour and 40 minutes and feature both the set as it was on the original show and a video message from Richard O’Brien (sadly not a hologram!). Entry will cost £50.

Pledge money to the project.
