If, like us, your main motivation to exercise is for the guilt-free gorging you do immediately afterwards, then our favourite Bombay-inspired eatery is serving up the perfect fitness class for you. This July, Dishoom is hosting its very first yoga event, RISE, which involves a guided yoga session followed by breakfast at the Granary Building, just minutes from its King’s Cross restaurant.
On Saturday July 4 mats will be rolled out at 10am sharp and 100 people will partake in a 90-minute dynamic yoga practice led by Vinyasa Flow teacher Claire Missingham and soundtracked to live music by the acclaimed British-Indian composer, producer and musician Nitin Sawhney. After an hour and a half of deep breathing, stretching and bending, all yogis will then be treated to delicious Dishoom granola, chai tea and fresh juices.
So if the promise of a lush brekkie is your main focus when holding the lotus position, snap up your ticket to RISE here from 9.30am today (Wed Jun 17). Tickets are £25 and include breakfast. Yoga mats will be provided on the day too.
And it’s not just RISE that offers treats for tree posing (that’s the one where you stand like a tree, by the way), Secret Yoga Club offers Londoners an evening of yoga practice followed by a delicious supper in some of the capital’s coolest and most magical locations. If food’s not your motivation, head to Fat Buddha’s Sunday Rehab class and enjoy relaxing in a five-star spa after your sweaty yoga sesh. Now that sounds good to us…
