Friday sees the launch of a new regular event at BFI Southbank which focuses on the importance of music in film. Rob da Bank performs his alternative soundtrack to 1933 classic ‘King Kong’, with tracks by Sigur Rós, Radiohead, Black Sabbath and Bon Iver. Predictable it ain’t. After the screening Rob will explain his choices in a chat with Sonic Cinema’s co-curator Tayo Popoola before everybody heads to the Benugo Bar & Kitchen for an after party. Tune in or miss out: this is one to watch.
