Food bloggers – time to read between the lines

Reading Between the Lines at the Wellcome CollectionCalling all food bloggers – ever considered the similarities between your website and 17th/18th century recipe collections? This intriguing talk by historian Dr Sara Pennell at the Wellcome Collection on November 17 (8.30pm) will attempt to draw the parallels between contemporary food blogging and ancient recipe writing, and how such practices relate to notions of identity, status and the relationship between the writer and the world. ‘Reading Between the Lines’ is free, but you’ll need to book ahead from 2pm on 27 October.
