The Kitchen- the art of serviceFrom the comedically bad to the impressively efficient, restaurant service is a subject on which everyone has a story to tell or an opinion to air. As part of the National Theatre’s ‘Platform’ season and in honour of the production of ‘The Kitchen‘, a selection of dining experts will be spouting off about the increasingly important role of service in the restaurant industry on Friday 28 October. Speakers include food writers and restaurant critics Jay Rayner and Matthew Fort, the River Café’s head chef Ruth Rogers, and Fernando Peire, the director of The Ivy and host of The Restaurant Inspector.
