Fattburger vs People in the burger off of the century

FattburgerThe enormous success of burger pop-ups in pubs – such as Meateasy at the Goldsmiths Tavern, which went on to become Meat Liquor, or Lucky Chip at the Sebright Arms, which is still in residence – seems to have inspired a new burger pop-up. On Friday March 9, London’s latest burger pop-up, Fattburger, is celebrating the launch of its three-months residency at The Three Compasses Bar in Dalston. We suspect the launch party won’t be the most refined of events, as the occasion will be marked by a US-style competitive burger-eating competition, to see who can stuff as many down their throats as quickly as possible. Enter a draw and you may end up being one of the five ‘lucky’ ones who compete to be crowned the burger eating champion of east London. Speed-eaters have 10 minutes to scoff down as many burgers as they can – we think it’s gonna get messy.
