Retro regime: work your way to a pin up body

Pin up body workoutForget ‘80s leg warmers and Lycra, if you really want your workout to feel retro, check out Teree Nicole Rae’s new vintage ‘exercise’ event. Taking its tip from the ‘40s and ‘50s (you know, when exercising meant strapping your arse into a giant vibrating band), Rae’s monthly Pin Up Body Workout guides glamorous ladies toward the curvy, hourglass shape of a retro bombshell.

First comes the easy bit: hair, make-up and wardrobe (there’s a beauty station and vintage clothes to choose from). Next comes the less easy bit: a two-hour rockabilly workout based on traditional and ‘intensely curve defining’ exercises – though not so intense they’ll spoil your new dolled-up look. Finally, there’s the exceedingly easy bit: afternoon tea complete with scones, cake and plenty of tea. A bit contradictory, maybe, but who’s going to know? It’s the ‘50s! A session lasts between between 11am-4.30pm and will set you back £99 per person. Nick Aveling
