Make your science fiction dreams a reality

SciFiLondon imageWe have all watched films and thought, ‘I could do way better than that!’ but this weekend, you’ll get a chance to prove it by creating a five minute short film for the 11th International London Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film. Head to the Apollo Piccadilly this Saturday at 10.30am and you’ll be given a title, line of dialogue, some props and an optional scientific theme. Beyond those (minimal) constraints, you choose the story, your team, locations and cast. Better be quick though as it needs to be handed in on Monday morning. The winner gets a development deal for a full feature film with Vertigo Films (Gareth Edwards who won in 2008 went on to write and direct ‘Monsters’). Sounds like a weekend well spent. Make sure you enter by the end of today (April 12) as you need to be registered to take part. Piers Garthwaite
