The Poetry Takeaway

We’re all guilty of craving a bit of a takeaway but now you can have as much as you like without feeling packed full of MSG. If you’re watching your waistline, head to The Poetry Takeaway mobile emporium for some mind expansion instead. Top contemporary poets take on the role of chef and serve up a speedy, hearty dish that’s so good you’ll never look at a bowl of alphabetti spaghetti the same way again. Get a one-on-one performance of your bespoke poem before taking it away in a beautifully-designed takeaway box (wrapped or unwrapped) as a memento of your special time together. All poems are promised to be served within 10 minutes and they’re absolutely free. The touring van will be parked on the Southbank this weekend (noon to 5pm) before setting off around the UK for festival season.

For info, see The Poetry Takeaway listing.
