Another pie shop, another pop-up restaurant. But if you’re looking for something a little different, the team behind ‘fat cheeks’ can deliver. How does a brawn burger served in a bap with roasted onions and apple sauce tickle your fancy? Or for something less challenging, a rare piece of hanger steak sat inside a Yorkshire pud? The last dinner they held included an ‘impromptu’ operatic performance, when a few of the specially hired singing waitstaff surprised diners and passers-by alike, by bursting into song. On July 8, there promises to be more music (although the details remain a secret) and the menu is being created with the help of guest chef Richard Kirwood (previously head chef at J Sheekey). Tickets for lunch or dinner cost £27 and include two courses and a complimentary drink (a cash bar will also be open).
