London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Olympics are finally upon us, and millions and billions and trillions of people will be attending the sporting jamboree. Tickets have been a hot topic throughout the Olympic build up. Some people have been lucky enough to get the tickets of their dreams. Others have been left high and dry. Many just didn’t want them in the first place. The sport you chose to watch can tell a lot about you, so we asked some of our blogger buddies to tell us what they’re going to see, if anything…

‘Unfortunately we aren’t going to see anything, though we will be doing a tour of the grounds just to check it out.’

Henry: ‘I’ve got ringside seats for all the blood sports: Fencing, Table Tennis and Road Cycling.’
Matt: ‘No. I’m too worried about the crowded transport system.’

Tired of London
‘I bought some last minute Olympic park access tickets, and otherwise have relied on an unpredictable strategy which involves a grandmother in her eighties who likes sport and has access to a telephone and a credit card. As a result I think I’m also watching some volleyball and some gymnastics.’

Miss Immy’s London
‘To be honest I’m not a sporty, Olympic kinda gal, so I only applied for Opening and Closing Ceremony tickets. Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t successful. So I may go and check out the Westfield East shopping centre instead.’

Bollards of London
‘I will attempt to purchase a ticket to the Paralympics.’

Shit London
‘I tried and, of course, failed to get tickets to the 100 meters final but I’m consoling myself with the tickets I have just to wander around the Olympic park. Apparently a lot of it looks like Tellytubbyland. Also, and I honestly mean this, I’m genuinely looking forward to visiting the world’s largest McDonald’s. It’ll be something to tell the grandkids.’
