Peruvian cuisine, 2012’s new big thing according to some (guinea pig fanciers, perhaps?), has taken a large step forward with the opening of chef Virgilio Martinez’s new restaurant in Fitzrovia. As you might expect, there’s plenty of potato on the menu, but don’t let that put you off – the cooking is innovative and well executed, and the place smart and high end. Much of the menu may appear unfamiliar, but that’s all part of the fun. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Guy Dimond
