We’re not all Bradley Wiggins. That’s sad in many ways, but it’s probably best there aren’t more chaps flying around the UK with that level of pedal power. Though we’d love to see more ladies with ginger sideburns. You don’t have to be an Olympic cyclist to appreciate the good old bike, though, and if you do appreciate the fair form of our two-wheeled friends you might like to prop up either end of your weekend with one, or both, of these events.
The Design Museum hosts Bike v Design on Friday from 7.30pm, where screenings, talks, demonstrations will all help you get geeky over the wonderful bicycle. If your own bike is looking less-than-wonderful, head to Look Mum No Hands in Old Street at midday on Sunday for the Bike Belle Pop Up Styling Studio. They’ll be dishing out cyclist style advice and offering you the chance to win a complete bike makeover.
