Have you ever sat down to make a start on that novel, but run out of steam a few words in? Or perhaps a few sentences are all you need to convey your story? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then you might be interested in the London Literary Project’s latest incarnation, London Clock. This time, they’re challenging writers to create fiction that focuses on a part of their day in London in just 60 words (one word for each second in a minute of course). Anybody and everybody is encouraged to contribute, with the finished project forming a literary collage of London life. Your flash fiction can be a story or a poem, be of any genre and just needs to focus on a particular minute of time in London. Jonno Hopkins
