Win tickets to a charity screening of ‘The Hobbit’ with Sir Ian McKellen

Now, we learned a lot of things about Sir Ian from his interview in this week’s Time Out. He owns a pub. He’s shy. He came out age 49. He’s a Tolkien buff. Oh, and he’s a very nice man indeed. So no surprise to hear that he is a patron of the East End young people’s charity Step Forward – which works with 2,000 11-25 year-olds in Tower Hamlets every year. ‘Step Forward is so impressive to visit, welcoming and utterly committed to helping local young people,’ says Sir Ian, who has been supporting the charity since 1996. He’ll be at the Genesis cinema in Whitechapel next Friday December 21 to take part in a Q&A session before a screening of Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’, in which he’s back as Gandalf.

We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away for the screening. For a chance to win answer the question below by 6pm on Tuesday December 18.
