Journey down to the concrete clad underside of the University of Westminster this week and you’ll discover a world where science and art collide. Once more, the Ambika P3 gallery has opened its doors for the annual Kinetica Art Fair (until March 3) and this year, it’s more moving than ever. Exploring kinetic, robotic, sound, light and time-based art, there’s plenty to ‘oooo’ and ‘aaah’ over, along with a jam packed programme of workshops and talks. A giant revolving sphere based on Dante’s journey from hell to purgatory, mechanical flipbooks that tell stories using fluttering images… it’s pretty mesmerising stuff. The fifth Kinetica Art Fair is bigger than previous years with over 40 galleries exhibiting from around the world, making Time Out’s half price ticket offer even better value for money.
