There’s a pretty wonderful exhibition on the horizon this Summer to celebrate our favourite river, The Thames (no offence to all you subterraneans out there). The Museum of London Docklands has decided to celebrate its 10th anniversary with the Estuary exhibition (May 17-Oct 27) and has brought together a selection of 12 artists focusing on the moment the Thames becomes the sea. Expect all walks of artistic velocity to be scattered around the displays, from traditional painting and photography, to more contemporary printmaking and film, including the works of John Smith, Peter Marshall, Nikolaj Larsen and more. It will be a compendium of inspired moments from one simple stretch of water. Take that, Eastenders opening titles.
