If you’ve never come across one part of infamous Duckie co-founder Amy Lamé before, here’s a few things to break the ice. She likes Morrissey quite a lot. She also probably likes other stuff, but that’s not important right about now.
If you’re not familiar with Duckie, a cabaret and comedy night that floats around London, it’s time to get acquainted. This time Amy is flying solo to celebrate her very very unhappy birthday, of which she’s looking to uncelebrate with you lot. Like pretty much of all of us after our birthdays, we like to milk it for all it’s worth, and Amy is no exception, as this new party night stretches out for the rest of the month, promising flowers, cake, quiffs, beer, balloons, and a nostalgic teen soundtrack version of pass the parcel.
Unhappy Birthday runs from May 14- June 1 at Camden’s People Theatre. For info, see Unhappy Birthday listing.
