Five things LondOnTheInside are looking forward to this July

LondOnTheInside, Skate Kings Cross

Another month has passed and we’re already into July. How the heck did that happen? Our friends over at LondOnTheInside weren’t caught by surprise, though. Here are five things they’re looking forward to this month…

Aqua Shard, The Shard, open now
‘Aqua Shard one of the biggest restaurant openings in the city – it is located in the highest spot in Western Europe, and they don’t come much bigger than that! The restaurant serves killer cocktails with a gin and tea twist, and English grub with a contemporary feel at prices that won’t break the bank. Prime date spot.’

Skate Kings Cross, Westside Canopy, July 12
‘There ain’t no disco like a roller disco and that’s why we’re getting our skates on and heading to the pop-up skate ring at King’s Cross. Not only will you get to whizz round like you’re in a movie from the eighties, there will also be food from some of London’s best chefs – hello Street Kitchen! We mean you – DJ’s and drinks. Break a leg… or maybe don’t.’

Malibutique, Westfield Stratford, July 11 – 14
‘A free Malibu cocktail, free hair styling by Toni & Guy, free manicures by Nails Inc and styling advice from ASOS – seriously what’s not to love about the Malibutique pop-up? Oh and did we mention the competitions, cocktail masterclasses and special offers. See you there and get the drinks in yeah?’

Shake Shack, Covent Garden, July 5
‘NYC’s burger joint Shake Shack is swimming across the Atlantic and opening in Covent Garden. Even if you haven’t been, there’s a good chance you will already know about it. The burger joint serves the usual burgers, hawt dawgs and fries but it’s the ‘concretes’ we’re looking forward to trying. We’ll take the Big Blend; dense frozen chocolate and vanilla custard ice-cream, St John Bakery brown sugar biscuit and chocolate hazelnut brownie. Hells yeah.’

A Night with the Mistress, Fenton House, 16-21 Jul
‘A Night With The Mistress is the latest pop-up from our fave’s The Art of Dining and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to spend a night with the mistress? It promises an eclectic mix of design, food and entertainment on the theme of decadence with edible gardens and naughty behaviour. Taking place in the stunning grounds of Fenton House, a National Trust property in Hampstead, you can expect to be impressed. Just don’t blame us when your loved one catches you out if you don’t take them!’
