Take a bite of Britain’s biggest burrito in King’s Cross Square

If you’ve been watching The Fried Chicken Shop or ever had a few too many bevs in your life, then you’ll be aware of the unholy and all-consuming craving for chicken (and carbs) that can rack the human body. Okay, now imagine 17kg of chicken spread across 150 tortillas, garnished with 8kg of fresh tomatoes, 5.5kg of tomatillos and 1kg of coriander… Oh…

On October 16, for World Food Day, Mexican burrito masters Benito’s Hat are attempting to build the biggest and tastiest burrito in Britain, after breaking the record in 2011 for making a 65ft monster. The brand new King’s Cross Square will be turned into a carnivorous haven at midday (maybe just skip breakfast rather than get trollied for this), where once the one hundred foot burrito is built, onlookers will be able to tuck in for just a £2 donation to the charity Action Against Hunger and you’ll also receive a £1 off voucher on your next Benito’s purchase.
