René Redzepi, co-founder and head chef of Noma in Copenhagen (voted No.1 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012) is in town to give a talk and launch his new book on Sunday November 10 (2-4pm). Called ‘A Work in Progress’, it’s really three books in one: a journal charting the day-to-day life of the restaurant, a cookbook containing 100 brand-new recipes and an album of candid snapshots. The talk, Q&A and book signing are taking place at the Almeida Theatre in Islington; it’s a rare chance to hear the king of New Nordic cuisine in person and is bound to be popular, so we advise booking. Tickets cost £25 (talk only) or £39.95 (talk and book – a bargain since the book’s RRP is also £39.95).
