Celebrate lesser-known London at the UnLondon festival

Posted at 10:00 am, January 22, 2014 in Arts & Entertainment, Food & Drink, Fun London

The UnLondon Festival organised by London band The Unfortunates think it’s about time we appreciated the more ordinary and unloved side of our city through a one day festival of literature, music and art on January 25 at St Mary’s Old Church in Stoke Newington.

The festival will include talks by cult writer Bernard Kops, Ken Worpole, Travis Elborough, and Des De Moor, with music provided by The Unfortunates, The Walk Uprights, and Danny Thornton Shaw. There will be short film screenings and a bar with locally brewed beer, so get yourselves along to Stoke Newington to appreciate under-appreciated London (we know you do already, this is just a good excuse to have a London-centric party!).

Entry is free but make sure you book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment! More details can be found here.
