It’s back. From April 3-6 2014, you can head down to the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane to sample the delights of the London Coffee Festival. From beans to baristas, it’s all here, but there’s a whole lot more than just coffee on show.
Did you know that there will also be stalls showcasing their finest juice, chocolate, yoghurt and even, err, tea? There’ll also be a pop-up ‘artisan’ coffee shop (obvs) run by the folks at La Marzocco (this’ll be complete with live DJs and mixologists to liven things up a bit), and an area called ‘The Lab’, hosting everything from tasting workshops to coffee cooking courses. Not forgetting the big contests of the event: the fight for the title of UK Barista Champion 2014. So come on old bean – whether you’re a maestro who insists on single estate roasts, or simply enjoy a nice cup o’ joe, this is the place to come and smell the… well, you know. Tania Ballantine
