The claws are out! Take a look at these two crustacean feasts that are battling it out to feed our rumbling bellies this bank holiday weekend.
Hammer & Claw
Say what you like about American cuisine, there’s no denying it knows how to make dinner an event. This crab feast is in the style of a traditional Maryland boil, with sacks of steamed potatoes, corn on the cob and crabs in a spicy seasoning dumped onto communal, paper-covered tables for hungry guests to fall upon. You’ve no reason to hold back: gloves, hammers and bibs are provided. Tickets include a cocktail on arrival, two beers, three courses and all-you-can-wipe napkins. Farr’s School of Dancing, 17-19 Dalston Lane, E8 3DF. www.farrsschoolofdancing.com/events. Dalston Junction Overground. £30. 3pm, Sat May 24.
Crawdaddy Boil II

Crawdaddy Boil I was such a hit they’re doing it again this bank holiday. Legendary Crayfish Bob and The Manhattans Project are back to feed us with with some more Southern-style crayfish and corn on the cob. You can wash it down with a good glug of lagerita, and dance the night away because this time there’s a full Zydeco band. It’s gonna be cray! The Liquor Store, 3 Gillett Street, N16 8JH. www.liquorstorelondon.co.uk. Dalston Kingsland Overground. £10 drinks only, £30 food + drink. 2pm-midnight, Mon May 26.
