Money may not grow on trees, but it might be hidden in the foliage. This Sunday some generous do-gooders are claiming that they will hide money on the streets of London. And no, we aren’t talking random pennies found on the pavement, if it’s anything like what happened in San Francisco, it’s more likely to be £100.
Yeah, now you’re interested.
A Twitter account called @LDNHiddenCash has just appeared and claims to be inspired by the American account @HiddenCash which sent the people of San Francisco and LA on a treasure hunt to find bundles of money. After finding money in bins and fire-extinguishers the lucky hunters were encouraged to tweet photos of themselves with their $100 prize.
London24 tweeted @HiddenCash hinting that a London version would be great and shortly after the London version appeared.
It’s all a bit shady and we have no idea if it’s real or not, but so far we’ve been told that small amounts of cash will be hidden around London during June (starting this Sunday June 1), each package will have two clues, and the mystery tweeter will use the hash-tag #HiddenCashLondon.
So the question is, are you willing to spend your Sunday searching for a wad of cash which may or may not exist? What’s more appealing, a lazy Sunday or a stack of cash? Remember, money may not buy happiness but it does fund a round of cocktails, and that’s pretty much the same thing, right?!
