Alongside the disco bliss, expect to hear house, funk and other upfront, party-primed grooves, spun by Sev and tonight’s special guest, Bill Brewster – maker of various sublime mix comps and walking house music encyclopedia.
Join the party-hungry glamorous clubbers tonight, as huge British house label Defected returns to its spiritual south London home, Ministry of Sound. The line-up features prime talent from the label’s bulging roster and is headlined by two figures from house music royalty, Kenny Dope and Little Louie Vega, better known as Masters at Work in their collaborative form. Prepare for a set of stone-cold classic house, tinted with early US garage and disco. Supporting are Simon Dunmore, Sam Devine, Andy Daniell and many more. Expect plenty of boom for your buck tonight.
A new series of summery and (hopefully) sunny Sunday sessions from Brixton venue Jamm, taking place in the venue’s newly renovated outside area. There’ll be top-name DJs covering everything from hip hop to techno, plus art on display and tasty street food. Drum ‘n’ bass duo SpectraSoul bring their lush, rolling take on the genre to Brixton for this Sunday session, alongside a set from untamed electronica wildcard FaltyDL.
