Last night (August 10), London was lit up by an astronomical phenomenon known as a SUPERMOON. The moon travelled closer to the Earth than it’s been in twenty years (while in full-moon form).
14% bigger and 30% brighter than normal, the glowing orb lit up our skyline in a truly beautiful manner. We’re not expected to see another supermoon this bright until 2034, but there’s another (inferior) one on its way on September 9.
In case you were watching a box set with your curtains tightly closed and your ultimate-darkness blinds down last night, here’s some of the best pictures of the moon on Twitter.
