If you enjoyed the recent return of Open House Weekend but thought the whole thing could’ve done with more photocopiers, ping pong tables and people brainstorming the shit out of things, we’ve got just the event for you.
Returning for a second year on Thursday October 2, OpenCo London sees 52 of the city’s biggest tech and media companies throw open their doors for a day of tours, workshops and innovation. Among the firms involved are King (makers of worryingly addictive mobile games like ‘Candy Crush Saga’), The Jamie Oliver Media Group, Spotify and Google.
Of course, no party involving London’s coolest companies would be complete without Time Out, so we’re opening up our shiny new HQ on Shaftesbury Avenue, although unfortunately all the tickets to come visit us are now gone!
But there’s still lots of other great stuff to see. Sessions last 40 minutes each, and in true London style, the whole thing moves to the pub (The Macbeth on Hoxton Street) at 5pm.
The day-long event is absolutely free, so head over to the OpenCo website and pick your sessions. And if you’re after a better idea of what to expect, check out the videos below to find out what happened when we dropped into a few of the other London offices involved:
