When Spring opened at Somerset House, we loved the food but found the prices daunting: £160 for two with modest quantities of alcohol. Soon after opening, the restaurant decided to install a set lunch menu from Monday to Friday: two courses for £25.50 or three courses for £29.50. There’s no choice on the menu, but the choice between dinner à la carte and this set lunch is as clear as it can be.
