Our mates at LondOntheInside have rounded up five things they’re excited about this month… Sub Cult pop-up

‘You know what you need with killer cocktails? Good food, that’s what – otherwise you’re gonna regret it the next day. Luckily Sub Cult has popped up Sun Tavern with a killer menu that’s guaranteed to soak up that booze. We’ll take the Dub-Sub – free-range, slow roast pork, BBQ jerk, crispy crackling, pickled pink onion and coriander all day, any day!’ Sun Tavern, now.

NME Awards shows
‘February is the month bands spring back into action and we’ll be super busy following all of the NME Awards shows where some of the most exciting new and upcoming bands will take to the stage around town. Our unmissable picks from the bunch: Slaves, Alabama Shakes and Death From Above 1979. See you down the front.’ Various venues, Feb 3–25.

Fiver Pho
‘A fiver for Pho? Pho sho! Sorry, there’s just too much fun to have with pho puns, but in all seriousness, there’s a branch of Pho opening in Covent Garden and to celebrate all bowls of Pho are £5 on opening day. Oh and there’s 25 percent off all food from Feb 6–9 too.’ Pho Covent Garden, Feb 5.

Taste Portugal
‘January is over and for Feb we’re all about the food. Last year we went to Taste Portugal’s special event at Murano and we were so impressed we’ve bagged tickets for the next one, which sees two of Portugal’s best chefs take to the stoves. It’s one night only, six courses and matching wines. Miss it, miss out!’ Texture, Feb 23.

Beer and Buns
‘We love beer and we love hirata buns. Which is why we’re hot-footing it down to the Beer & Buns pop-up. Teaming hirata buns filled with the likes of pork belly, chicken karaage and pulled duck legs with Japanese craft beer, you’d be insane not to!’ K10 Broadgate, opens Feb 5.
