Ever wanted to stick something sharp in Nigel Farage’s face? Well now you can, kind of. Knit for Peace is putting on two days of knitting workshops this weekend and the undoubted highlight is a session where you can knit a pin cushion of your least favourite politician, with pattern options including Nigel Farage, Michael Gove and Eric Pickles. Choices, choices.
And it’s not all politics and pins – you’ll also learn how to make crochet jewellery and get a tour of the V&A’s knitting and needlework exhibits.
The workshops are at the University Women’s Club in Mayfair on April 18 and 19. Tickets are £95 for a day, or £175 for two days and prices include materials, access to all sessions and even a spot of afternoon tea.
