There’s pretty much nothing you can get for 7p in London these days – possibly a handful of penny sweets but let’s be honest, inflation has definitely upped the price on those. But to celebrate its 150th anniversary, the five-star Langham Hotel is taking things back to a simpler (and cheaper) time and offering customers afternoon tea for a mere 7p – the price it would have cost in 1865. It’s an absolute bargain by anyone’s standards but especially when you factor in that the whole shebang normally costs a whopping £59 per person. The competition closes tomorrow (May 27) and there are 50 spots up for grabs. Try to bag yourself a table by entering here.
